Effetto Venezia: a festival now tied to the history of its neighborhood and the entire city of Livorno.

Established in 1986 at the initiative of the Livorno Municipal Administration, Effetto Venezia has now become one of the most attractive festivals of the Tuscan summer.

Since then, the festival has grown in every aspect, year after year, enhancing its spectacular content and involving the neighborhood of Venezia Nuova, one of the most characteristic and evocative places in the city, in a comprehensive process of architectural restoration and historical, cultural, and commercial revaluation.

Spanning various genres and cultural proposals, in over thirty years of history, Effetto Venezia has hosted renowned artists, personalities, and companies, becoming the most anticipated event of the Livorno summer. It is a moment of attraction and enjoyment for both the local residents and numerous tourists, as well as an important stage for many emerging artists, both local and international, always in the spirit of enhancing the city’s identity and its territory.

Today, Effetto Venezia is an established and recognized brand that generates considerable interest, attracting a diverse audience from both Tuscany and the rest of Italy every year. In 2015, thanks to careful revisiting of the format, it confirmed once again to be a valuable economic resource for the entire city, with over 3 million euros in revenue and 150,000 attendees. It serves as a valuable promotional vehicle for tourism and culture in Livorno.
