Matteo Garrone at the cinematic opening of the 38th edition of Effetto Venezia
The opening of this 38th edition of the film festival will be entrusted, in the afternoon of August 2nd, to one of the most important Italian directors: Matteo Garrone.
Appreciated internationally, Garrone has also received important recognition as a screenwriter and producer. He is the author of films such as Gomorrah, Reality, Tale of Tales, Pinocchio, and Dogman. Winner of 6 David di Donatello Awards, 4 Silver Ribbons, 2 European Film Awards, and two prizes at the Cannes Festival.
It will be a special occasion to hear him speak about his work and his cinematic style.
