The theatrical opening of Effetto Venezia 2023 (August 2nd) will be entrusted to the company Teatro dei Venti with their production of “Moby Dick”, winner of the 2019 Ubu Award for Best Scenic Design.

This is a show-event designed for urban spaces, bringing Captain Ahab’s ship and his obsession with the White Whale to the square, with a large theatrical machine and a core group of 20 artists, including actors, musicians, acrobats, and technicians.

This street performance is dedicated to one of the stories that cinema has helped immortalize. It is a work based on philosophical reflection on the unknown, on the contamination between different languages, and on the use of large theatrical machines.
