FI PI LI Horror Festival – Scary Music in Cinema
Teatro Vertigo
Free event
The cultural association Fi Pi Li Horror Festival APS, creator and promoter of the namesake film and literary festival that has been taking place in Livorno for 13 years and organizes events throughout Tuscany and Italy, offers a discussion on the “scary” relationship between cinema and music from the 1970s to today. A journey that spans notes and images of great classics, the horrific atmospheres of soundtracks from John Carpenter to Goblin, up to the present day.
The protagonist of this journey is Federico Frusciante, the most famous film critic on the web who is also a musician and soundtrack composer. Interviewing Federico and accompanying him on this fascinating and frightening overview will be Alessio Porquier and Ciro Di Dato, directors of the Fi Pi Li Horror Festival.
Following this will be a screening of a selection of national and international short films that have competed in past editions of the festival, with a focus on the relationship between music, cinema, and fear.
