Born out of a passion for the sounds and rhythms of the world, Luarte Project offers a concert of world fusion and original music. The openness to artistic dialogue and multicultural encounters are fundamental ingredients for a diverse and accurate search for the band’s repertoire. From the world songbook to original singer-songwriter songs expressed in languages such as Portuguese, Angolan, Spanish, Cape Verdean, French, and Salento dialect, Luarte brings to the stage a vast array of stories and cultures expressed by the instruments and voices of Chiara Pellegrini (Bachelor in Jazz singing at the “Prince Claus Conservatory” – Groningen (NL), Andrea Musio (singer-songwriter, oboist, and ethnomusicologist trained in Portugal), the Argentinean Joaquin Cornejo (multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger); with the special guest drummer and percussionists, Gabriele Pozzolini (graduate of the “L. Cherubini” conservatory in Florence). Winners of the second prize at the prestigious Alberto Cesa competition at the Folkest Festival 2023, Luarte Project is a project of cosmopolitan musicians who play for an audience that listens, dances, and gets emotional.

The lineup:

Chiara Pellegrini jazz singer and multi-instrumentalist (vocals, percussion, flute, and guitar), Andrea Musio ethnomusicologist, philosopher, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist (7-string guitar, oboe, charango, vocals, and bongos), the Argentinean Joaquin Cornejo composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist (tenor and soprano saxophone, clarinet, piano, vocals, and percussion) and percussionist Gabriele Pozzolini (drums, cajon, percussion).
