Bandão is a percussion orchestra led by the conductors Francesco Petreni and Lorenzo Catacchini.

Although its roots are focused on the rhythms of Brazilian, Cuban, and African music, its repertoire offers original rhythms and draws on sounds typical of Italian musical traditions fused with characteristic rhythms from distant countries and worlds. The result is an unprecedented contamination of different styles and sounds that alternate and merge into unique music. A distinctive feature of many of the pieces is polyrhythm, that is, the simultaneous execution of multiple overlapping rhythms performed at the same time.
