Bandão is a percussion orchestra directed by maestros Francesco Petreni and Lorenzo Catacchini.

Although its roots are centered on the rhythms of Brazilian, Cuban, and African music, its repertoire offers original rhythms and draws on sounds from Italian musical traditions merged with characteristic rhythms from distant countries and worlds. The result is a unique contamination of different styles and sounds that alternate and merge into music unique in its kind. A distinctive feature of many of the pieces is polyrhythm, that is, the simultaneous execution of multiple overlapping rhythms performed at the same time.
